Bi-Fold Counterweight Doors
Bi-Fold Counterweight Doors are a twin leaf design, horizontally hinged and counterweight balanced to lift vertically into a folded position. Suitable for commercial and industrial use. These doors may be used to span large openings of up to 30 metres wide.
The doors are constructed from rectangular steel hollow section and suitably braced and trussed for minimum deflection in the open and closed position. The standard design is based on 0.5 kPa wind load. (This may be altered to suit particular situations. The desired wind load must be stated when specifying). Cladding or glazing options include Colorbond wall cladding, aluminium sheet, bar grille, weldmesh, amplimesh, timber, glass, acrylic.
Hingeaway Counterweight Doors
Hingeaway Counterweight Doors are a counterweight balanced door and is is ideal where internal obstructions may prevent the door retracting fully within the building, and minimising headroom is a requirement. It is perfect for car park entries, showrooms, retail premises, restaurants, entertainment areas.
The frames are constructed from steel hollow section and designed in accordance with AS1170.2-2002 and AS4100-1998, to withstand wind loading as required in the closed position and provide minimum deflection in the open position. Vertical Lift Counterweight Doors are a single or two leaf design which lifts and operates in a vertical position.
Suitable where sufficient headroom exists to vertically raise the doors behind the building wall, overcoming the need to project the door inwards or outwards.
